Lexus LFR teased alongside Toyota GR GT & GT3 race car

The production-spec Toyota GR GT will be revealed later this week, and it seems like Lexus might showcase its version of the GR GT at the same event. The latter just dropped a teaser featuring both the Lexus LFR and Toyota GR GT alongside the GT3 race car.

Both cars will share the same platform but will have a distinct exterior design. While the GR GT features an LED light bar at the back, the LFR has L-shaped LEDs around the rear. Both cars appear to have a similar roofline, though, and an elongated bonnet.

Under the hood will be a twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine that is rumoured to produce around 900 hp. However, the GT3 race car is likely to feature a non-hybrid version of the twin-turbo V8, restricted to around 700 hp.

As per rumours, the cars will only be unveiled at the upcoming event, while pricing and availability will be announced in January 2026. Production and sales are expected to kick off in September.
